Retina 13inch screen problem

I have a MacBook Pro with Retina 13inch late 2013. My screen has develop what seems like splotches under the glass. Why? Can it be repaired? If so, how much will it cost?

HI billyg27,

If you live near an Apple Store, I would take it into to see how much it would cost to repair. I'm not sure how the spoitches got under the glass. If they are on the glass you could use a microfiber cloth to try cleaning it.

We are end users helping others out and do not work for Apple.

Hi Bill,

There might be an third party repair shop near you that might be able to do it for less than Apple but you'll have to do your research.

Thank you for quick response. It is definitely under the glass. I use lens cleaner with a microfiber cloth always. I called theApple store, they told it was around $200 to replace. A little out of my budget especially at this time of the year with Christmas and all.
