2nd track has buzzing, 1st does not?

I'm having an issue with Garageband where I record a guitar track and it sounds fine but when I create a 2nd track for vocals it has this obnoxious buzzing. Like a droning bass note. No effects are applied to either track. I even tried right-clicking and choosing "New track with duplicate settings" but the buzzing is still there.

Has anyone experienced this before? I'm stumped and google hasn't given me any answers. It's just weird to me that the first track has zero buzzing but every track after that has it.

I'm recording through a 2nd gen Scarlett Solo and a Scarlett studio mic. Garageband is version 10.3.2 and my computer is a 2017 iMac running Mojave 10.14.6.
