When I record a vocal track on Garageband, it records fine unless I sing a high pitched note. I can see on the actual waves that it stops recording only those notes. I have isolated the issue to just GarageBand, and reinstalling it hasn't helped! This is ever since I did a Mac OS update. Please help!
I have the same problem and it turned out to be the Mic Mode like you said! It's on top of the screen.. Make sure Standard is checked, not Voice Isolation. Problem solved. THANK YOU!

Update: I changed the mic mode at the top right from voice isolation mode to standard and it fixed the issue!
Yes I’m having the exact same issue! When I sing low notes it is fine. But when I sing and especially when I hold high notes it just cuts out my voice and I can’t hear myself even while I’m recording with the monitoring on
I changed it from voice isolation to standard, and then it just stopped picking up all the audio. I dont know what to do or how to fix it
