iPhone 7 ic audio chip manufacturing fault

I have iphone 7 256gb and recently problem has started, I can make and receive calls but i can't hear anything and speaker button got greyed. I went to a Apple store to find out what the problem is and they told me its a known problem, where the Audio IC chip connection dislodges from the circuit board.

Doing a search across the internet, it appears that its a common problem/fault. There is even video from engineers indicting that the design of the iphone 7 and iphone 7 plus have a design fault, where the flexing of the phone overtime causes the audio ic chip connectors to break. So was told that I could purchase a like-for-like replacement, (why would I do this, when the phone has a design fault), (and how long till the replacement phone suffers from the same issues??). Or purchase a new phone. Sound like this is a case of built in obsolescence.

So while the phone is in perfect working order, no broken screen, no water damage etc. except for the audio ic chip!!! Then phone is essentially a brick for phone calls, the work around is to use bluetooth ear buds, however, its hard to answer your calls if you don't have already the ear buds in your ears.

Apple what are you doing for its customers that have a perfect condition phone that falls apart?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 13
