I just updated my mac with the update catalina and now my Photoshop (as well as my word program and several others) are not working. But I am in most need of my photoshop. Help please!
If you want to check which of your apps is 32 bit (or 64 bit), simply go to the Apple > System Report > scroll down to Applications; you will see if they are 64 bit (yes or no) in the right column. No need to download another app.
If you have older MS programs or an older version of Photoshop, check the developers' sites for options; most current versions are now on a subscription basis although some are available for a one time purchase. For MS apps, you can try the free Libre office prgram. A less expensive alternative to Photoshop might be Affinity Photo.

No 32bit apps will run.
Install go64 app and see if your Photoshop is 32bit version
If it is 32bit you have three options
Office for mac 2016 or 2019 or 365 subscription will work, but office 2011 will not

Is the app you are recommending available at the app store? Personally, I do not download anything unless it is from the app store or a developer I am familiar with - safer that way.
I don't have to go through one by one - of course I know which apps are too old to be 64 bit. Besides, if one is running Mojave before upgrading to Catalina, they got one popup warning from Apple after another about every 32 bit app they happened to launch.
Use of Go64 will show all 32 bit apps. Using System report no longer has the 64bit column so OP would have to look at every app. It is quicker to download the app, but yes no need to in reality.
Go64 has been recommended by a few high level contributors on the forum. The source is the one I posted above. I seem to remember it is notarized
Yeah right do you expect someone to go through all their apps one by one, Go64 is the best solution
