After "upgrading"to Catalina now my photoshop does not work. I called Apple support and guess what their response was?......Erase everything from my computer and set it back to Sierra or call Adobe and pay the monthly fee of $13.00 for a "possible fix"!!! Really???? Does anyone have a solution?

I am sorry you are having this problem. However, Apple has been telling us for a couple of years now that with Catalina, all old 32 bit apps would no longer work. Sorry, there is no workaround other than what you have been told. Also, be aware that at some point Adobe and Microsoft will stop supporting your current older apps and upgrades will eventually be needed to continue using them.
Catalina dropped 32bit support. So you either have to upgrade Photoshop or find an alternative graphics program. Or as you were told downgrade macOS.
