Why can’t I connect my Marshall Major III bluetooth headphones to my Apple Watch Series 3

I just purchased a Series 3 watch. When I try to connect my Marshall bluetooth headphones, my watch cannot find it. The headphones work great with my iPhone and iPad Pro. Anyone else have this trouble?
