MacBook Pro 16 inch Screen ghosting and display lag

To determine if it is indeed software or a hardware concern, you can try these:

• Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart.
• Reset the PRAM/NVRAM which can contain information about the display which causes these issues: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
• To narrow it down, also be sure to check your Mac in safe mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac You can also try a new user as well: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
  • If it only happens in your user and not in safe mode, try removing login items. Specifically ones that might control the display or screen: Open items automatically when you log in on Mac
  • If it happens in both safe mode and a new user, back up your Mac and reinstall macOS using Recovery: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery

hey man, I have the same problem as you. My old 15 inch 2016 was very smooth and not nearly as hot as this one. Everything is so laggy and almost unusable, it's really disappointing and unacceptable for a flagship laptop like this tbh, especially it is geared towards professionals who require stability. I don't know how all these reviewers didn't mention this problem.
