Hey guys. I recently trimmed a video and selected the option trim original instead of saving a new version.
A problem happened while it was trimming and now once I play the video it simply doesn’t play and when I try to edit it appears the following error:
Cannot edit video. There was an error loading this video.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

I understand after trimming a video, the video will no longer play, and you're unable to save edits to the video.
Are you using iCloud Photos? If so, I suggest to visit iCloud.com to see if you can download the unmodified original file, as outlined in the "How to download content from iCloud.com" section of the following article: Download iCloud photos and videos - Apple Support
If you're not using iCloud Photos, your video would be stored in a backup you may have created. The following articles will show you how to locate and restore a backup to obtain your video:
