I cleaned my AirPods using a nail polish remover and now my they have a very rough skin texture

Hi! I accidentally cleaned my airpods using a nail polish remover because i can’t remove a very stubborn dirt and now my airpods has a very rough skin texture and it really bothers me a lot. I tried to clean it again with damp towel, wet wipes or alcohol but it didnt return to its former texture. Can someone help me with this. Thank you

Acetone is a solvent that was never intended to be used on things like AirPods. You have damaged the surface. Really, all you can do is live with the damage or purchase new AirPods and avoid the same mistake again.
