I purchased my MacBook Pro15 3months ago and want to know if it's possible to turn it in for a refund for the purchase of a MacBook Pro 16.

You can not exchange or refund after 14 days, however you can always trade it in—Apple Trade In - Apple

Hello,

Apple Store refunds are valid within 14 days of your purchase date. You cannot trade in a 3 month old device.
