Display search results as a list on Music app for Mac

In the old iTunes, I could search my library and have it displayed as a list for faster scrolling. But I can't figure out how to do it in the now separated Music app. Now it shows up as Album view or Artists view and then you have to deal with the bulky album art. In addition, I can't search for genre anymore. I can pull up the genre on the sidebar, but then I'm back to bulky album art rather than a straight list. Any way to fix this? It's rather sad I have to go into a Windows PC to do all this.

Start in the song view, then use View > Show Filter Field.

macOS 10.15.2 also restores the column browser which you may find useful. Again in the View menu.
