Cannot send mail

Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator.


This has come up several times this morning. I have deleted the outgoing message I was trying to send but the message still comes up when I try a simple one word message to one recipient.


Help!

Mail>Window>Connection Doctor


If all dots go green it ought to work. If red it starts to identify the problem
