i am unable to use my side button vol up vol down or lock now am fire ex to used assistive touch my phone is playing up never dropped phone can anyone help - it appears my phone may be operated remotely

This is a weird issue for sure.
Try following the steps that apply to you at https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201412
If that doesn't work and you have access to a computer with iTunes installed, back up your data and you should be able to reset your phone to its factory defaults using the steps at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252
