Can't add music to iMovie.

Hi! I am trying to edit a video together on iMovie. I can add and edit video clips fine, but when I go to add some music it gives me this error message no matter what type of audio I try to add (iTunes, included sound effects, etc.) "There is not enough disk space available at the selected destination. Please choose another one or clear some space." I have tons of disc space, and have tried deleting what little videos I did have on iMovie but nothing seems to fix this issue, Thanks!

What versions of iMovie and operating system are you using?

Assuming that you are using iMovie 10, others who have experienced the "not enough disk space" issue have cured it by redownloading iMovie. To do that, drag your iMovie app from the Applications folder into the trash, but don't empty the trash. Then open and sign in to the app store (Apple Logo/App store) and click on your name at the bottom of the app store side bar to open your account. You will see iMovie listed among your purchases. You can download it from there. Now see if the "not enough disk space" problem is solved. If for some reason the download is unavailable or unsuccessful, you can drag your old iMovie out of the trash and put it back into the Applications folder. However, it should be successful.
