I movie ran out of space due to my HD becoming full from render files. Now when I open I movie I can't see any music library songs at all. I think it's opening the wrong library or a corrupt library or something. I've searched for the old backup libraries but can't open them. Please help, I want to start a new project and use music.

Perhaps the crash caused the iMovie preferences to go awry. Try deleting/resetting preferences. To delete/reset prefereces open iMove while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie usually will open in a new empty library. If so, reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Possibly you may need to reboot to set the changes. Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.
Also, make sure that you have cleared sufficient free disk space for iMovie to function properly. You can delete render files from the iMovie'Preferences box. Note that the preferences in the iMovie Preferences box are different than those referred to in the above deleting preferences procedure.

Can you post a screen shot of your iMovie library project screen with the audio pane selected, so I can see what you are seeing?

Thanks Rich. I tried this but it didn't work. I can view my video files but the music files won't appear. Is there a way to delete everything so that when I install a fresh copy of I movie it doesn't load into the existing libraries, because when I reinstalled it, it had the same problem. I think it's best I start from fresh as I've tried everything.
