Phone ringing through bluetooth

How do I stop my iPhone XS Max from ringing through my bluetooth speaker. I know that I can turn on Do Not Disturb. I want to still receive calls which will not happen if I turn Do Not Call on. I would be ok if there is no ringing on my phone, I just don’t want my phone to ring through the Bluetooth.

How to turn off "Silence" feature in the Do Not Disturb settings Hi everyone, need some help. I just noticed this a couple of weeks ago - when my phone is locked, I cannot receive calls; my phone simply tells me after the person has called that I have missed calls- my phone doesn't ring at all. Today, I went into the settings app and opened up the Do Not Disturb feature. There's a "silence" option that only offers two settings: (1) "Always" - incoming calls and notifications will be silenced while iPhone is either locked or unlocked, or (2) "While Phone is Locked' - incoming calls and notifications will be silence while iPhone is locked. Is there a way to turn this feature off altogether so I'm able to hear my phone ring even if it is locked?? Any suggestions/guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Use the Mute switch on the phone. That will suppress the ring on both the phone and the BT device, but will still allow app audio to reach the BT device.

No, I mean the physical switch on the left side of the phone above the volume buttons.

If by the mute button, you mean silent mode, that doesn’t work

Yeah, that’s silent mode and it doesn’t work.
