Draw instead of swipe in notes ios 13

Hi there!

I used to make notes with my apple pencil in the right hand and swipe through the document with my left hand.

Since iOS 13 I can’t do that anymore. It has turned into drawing with the pencil on the right hand and drawing some more with the left hand, or I should turn of the writing by clicking the pencil icon in the right upper corner.

But as soon as the pencil hots the ipad, the icon blinks on a again, and I can’t swipe before I deselect that same icon again.

It is adding so much steps to going over a document, really not an improvement.

Anyone an idea how I can shut this off?

Hi Oosy2701,

Sorry but I don’t quite understand why you have to use your left hand for swiping when you can use the Apple Pencil for swiping instead as shown in this YouTube video below (at 1:37):

I believe he used the left for moving the page up / down or left / right for more writting.

it may be changes in the notes apps. Better notes paid app have this functionality like Notability or good notes 5.

Found it out myself: with a two finger swipe you can scroll trough the document. This used to be a one finger swipe....

Yes indeed left hand for swiping, bit that is pretty arbitrary, just tried to paint the picture.
