Image capture error
When I try to use the scanner on my Brother printer I get the error message 'the operation could not be completed `(com.apple.imagecapture error 4294957394.) (-9902).

Hmm...
Go to Apple > System Preference > Printers & Scanners > Scan tab > Open Scanner and try that.
If that doesn't help, I would try deleting and adding the Printer/Scanner in the Printer & Scanner Preferences.
