Can I just keep the magic keyboard attached to my iMac via the connector cable or does it have to function via Bluetooth.
If you mean the charging cable. Yes you can.

I didn't think that there is a USB wired connector port. You sure. I do keep a usb wired keyboard connected along with a bluetooth Magic Mouse 2 all the time.
