Avast anti-virus is unnecessary on a Mac where there are no viruses to detect. All it will do is interfere with the normal operation, and performance of the Mac and its applications — and give you false positives to make you think what you paid for is actually working. Remove it per the vendors uninstall instructions, which may be as simple as on one of its application menus.
Why you do not need anti-virus, because of built-in security. Malwarebytes for Mac can be useful in removing ad/malware on your Mac, and it is not an anti-virus tool.

Mackeeper and Advanced Mac Cleaner behave like Trojan horses.
Neither is completely removed by either Malwarebytes or Avast, but at least components are identified from these software.
The utility of Avast, Malwarebytes, and Etrecheck is to identify any trojan horses, and remove most that can come your way.
Weknow.ac is not even identified at all, and has to be found through chrome://policy
Suffice it to say, the malware world of the Mac is more complicated than you make it out to be.
And while it would be ideal if everyone used Apple's Mac App Store Gatekeeper, there are many Apps, including Etrecheck that will not install with it on.
If you want to make sure your Mac remains secure, backup, and do not install extraneous tools or extensions, and pay close attention to popups when you click near email attachments to ensure these are not clicked, unless you know it comes from the OS notification system. It has been my experience as a freelance consultant for 24 years, most Mac users who get in trouble have no cybersecurity background in the Mac, and assume everything will be hunky dory. It can be, but the moment you build your house of cards, you have to be wary of every card's characteristics on the deck.
Not to sure about iPhones, as it is a more sandboxed OS than what is found on Macs, but Avast antivirus is very good supplement to Malwarebytes on the Mac.
It is not perfect. weknow.ac virus has needed independent software removal tools.
