MacBook Pro 2019 15" Keys wearing off

Apple Design Team-

The keys on MacBook Pro's wear off quickly (within months) with daily use (my "S" and "N" are fading fast). My $40 USB keyboard has been perfect for years, but my $4,000+ MacBook has painted-on keys that flake and chip? : I've always loved your work, but form and function go hand in hand with build quality--especially when we're asked to pay a premium to enjoy something we expect to be rock-solid.

Not disgruntled, just mildly annoyed.

this is a user to user forum...however

This is a known issue— I would take in to Apple and see what they can do for you.

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"—

if you want the Apple Design Team—then post your Apple Feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback

for your issue.

My MacBook Pro 2018, new 16 Jan 2019. By Sept I noticed black wearing off some keys so I visited an Apple Store and was told to set an appointment to have the entire keyboard replaced - they could not simply replace a worn key. I visited Apple store today - my 'A' key is completed worn so the letter cannot be read, the 'S' is going too: Apple said this was a cosmetic, non-warranty issue. They ran a keyboard/full Mac diagnostic, hoping to find a problem so they could replace it. As my Mac passed the diagnostic, all they offered is that I could pay to have the entire top cover replaced! Very disappointed with Apple Computer quality control, and policies.

PS: because of this I returned my brand new iPhone 11 Pro 512GB phone and accessories, received for Christmas, for full refund. Hard to buy any new Apple gear.
