I had to do a factory reset of my iPhone X. I did not have my text messages backed up on iCloud, but I do have an iTunes back up of my iPhone.
Can I restore only my text messages from my iTunes back up, without perfuming a complete restore?

No. Restoring from a backup is an all or nothing proposition. In other words, if you restore from the iTunes backup, it will be whatever was contained in that backup when you made that backup and you cannot choose parts of a backup to restore to your phone.
