I deleted a text thread--need it back

I deleted a text thread on my iphone 7 2 days ago. I am needing these texts back! I recently backed up my phone on itunes with my computer. Is there a way to restore only the text messages when using itunes? If so could some one give me step by step directions? itunes confuses me and I do not want to permanently lose these precious texts by choosing a wrong option.
