Buying an Apple Watch online; is there any way know if it's stolen?

Hello I had a quick question I tried looking it up online but I can’t seem to find a good answer I am interested in buying a Apple Watch online but I just want to know if it’s stolen or iCloud lock is there anyway for me to do that before I go pick up

It's not recommended to buy an apple watch 2nd hand online,this forum is full of people with activation locked watches,the only thing you can do is to make sure 100% that you can get hold of the person who sells you the watch,because if it's activation locked then THEY are the ONLY person that can remove the lock.
