MacBook Pro Color Profile for Monitor

How can I add the HD 709-A color profile to my new MacBook Pro? Where do I download this profile?

My old MacBook Pro worked fine with HP Monitor. The new MacBook Pro makes the monitor look dark and colors look completely drained with all color profiles available. It does NOT look good with any profiles, even those available when 'Show profiles for this display only' is NOT checked. PAL/SECAM is the only color profile that makes it look anywhere near correct. Calibration will not go any lighter, brighter or more saturated. What the heck?????

The old MacBook Pro used the HD 709-A color profile. It looked perfect. Perfect. The new MacBook Pro does not have this profile. Why? I repeat, it worked FINE BEFORE.

How can I add the HD 709-A color profile to my new MacBook Pro? Where do I download this profile? I can't find it on the web.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you're running into some trouble with an external display connected to your new MacBook Pro not looking quite like it did previously due to a missing color profile. I'd be glad to see about providing some information that might be useful to you.

Is your new MacBook Pro connected to your display in the same manner as it was with your previous MacBook Pro, or have any adapters or cables been added to the mix to ensure connectivity? If new items were added, what were they?

You mentioned running calibration on your Mac and that not being bright enough or saturated enough. Have you attempted to use color filters? If not, that might be a good step to take next. More info on that in Use color filters on Mac.

You can also use the ColorSync Utility to learn more about the installed color profiles and their settings. ColorSync Utility User Guide
