Cookies blocked message at banking site

Can anyone help with this? Yesterday I installed the latest iMovie update. Afterwards when I went to my bank website I got a message that cookies were blocked. I have checked everywhere and I don't have them blocked for that website. Is there something I am missing.

iMovie was an update because of Catalina. I thought maybe it needed Catalina, so I downloaded and installed it after the fact. Problem persists. I had signed onto bank website hours before and no problem. Was also able to get to website on laptop with older version of iMovie and system, no problem. It has to be something in the iMovie update. What is the fix. I need help. I also went into Time Capsule and tried to reinstall and earlier version of iMovie to no avail.

Thanks Rich839. I had already looked everywhere in preferences, etc that I knew to look to see if I had cookies blocked. I normally use the "settings for this website" option to block or not.

Turns out the answer was to open Safari holding the shift key down. That cleared it up.

Thanks to all for their help. Happy Holidays

The most likely way that I can think of to stop cookies from being blocked is to go to your browser's Preferences and navigate to the Privacy and Security section where you can disable blocked cookies. You can also go to your Mac's system preferences and see what preferences are set under Privacy and Security, such as whether your Firewall is turned on or you have advertising blocked. You could also try updating your browser if you are not running its currently updated version. You might also visit your Bank's Help or Customer service features to see if perhaps the problem is on their end.

Are cookies being blocked from websites other than your banking website? If the banking website is the only one affected then it is not likely that the issue is Catalina related. However, if you wish you can revert to your previous operating system through your Time Machine backup (go to Finder Help menu and type in "Revert your Mac to a Previous OS" for instructions).
