cannot connect / install samsung x5 ssd thunderbolt 3 to macbook pro 16 inch

Reformat the drive to use on MAC using disk-utility.

We only know what you write down and tell us. Be specific and thorough. Include your hardware information and installed version of macOS.

First thing you should do is contact Samsung's tech support. If they are not able to resolve the problem, then post back here and provide whatever response you got from Samsung.
