Can't add Chamberlain MyQ Home Bridge to Homekit

I added a Chamberlain MyQ Home Bridge to my two chamberlain MyQ garage door openers (hubs). Each garage door opener works fine via the Chamberlain MyQ app.


But I cannot get the Home Bridge added to Homekit. I open the Home app on my iPhone, I select Add Accessory and scan the code. The MyQ-xxx shows up to be added. I select it and get this message:

"Adding MyQ-xxx make sure it stays connected to power and nearby."


After a few minutes, I get this message,

"Couldn't add MyQ-xxx - Home couldn't connect to this accessory."


Nothing I try can get me past this message and connected to Homekit.


Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
