Recolated Items Folder

After a recent upgrade to my OS I found a folder titled “Relocated Items” which contains other folders several levels deep. When I move this folder to the trash and then attempt to empty the trash  I receive the following message: “com_apple_MobileAsset_TopLevelDomainDafsa.xml” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by macOS.” The same message is given for the many other files embedded in the lower level folders. My question is, can anyone advise me on a method of getting rid of this apparently unnecessary file?

I have a new iMac 21.5 inch 2017 model computer running Catalina version 10.15.2.

The folders referenced which reside in the Relocated Items folder are as follows.

·      Relocated

·      Security

·      System

·      Library

·      AssetsV2

·      16 assorted other folders, most named com_apple_MobileAsset_XXXXX (various names). Some of these folders contain files and some contain more folders.

I am assuming that these files and folders having been placed into the Relocated folder are no longer needed. Thanks for any help you can provide.
