How do you reject an update for apps you never use? I don't want to waste the space on my device. Can I eliminate certain apps totally?

Is there a way to turn down an update for an app you never use so that the notification goes away? How about just deleting those apps entirely?

Sometimes you can ctrl-click on the Update and hide it.

However, the update to an app you are not using will likely not increase the size that is already being used. Maybe a tiny bit, but it could also be smaller.

You can only remove apps that are not part of the OS. If you boot from another drive or disable SIP, you could possibly remove those bundled apps. Depending on the app, that may cripple functions of the OS.
