Safebrowse.io is blocking access to a trusted site in both Safari and Google Chrome

Whether I'm using Safari or Google Chrome, there's a certain website that I can't access because I'm rerouted to the following site: ****

As shown in the screen cap I've attached at the bottom of this message, the site presents text that reads:

"Hold On!

We blocked access to

This site might compromise your device or contain dangerous content.

To avoid these risks, close this window and skip this site.

proceed anyway"

Unfortunately, no amount of clicking on the "Proceed Anyway" link will allow me to get to the site. The site in question is trusted, as it's for a major music hardware/software company. So, there's really no reason it should be blocked in the first place. I've tried turning off "safebrowsing" in Chrome and Safari, and other similar approaches. Nothing is working. Help!

The link is so I can download some free music software, but the offer is only good through Dec. 25th. So, a quick resolve to this question is crucial.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin J.

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Safe Mode - About

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply.        Pastebin

I have this problem, and the solution suggested by Eric Root (thank you though) is too complicated and requires a software download which is suspicious. What I would like to know is what is this safebrowse.io and where did it come from and how do I turn it off for the site that I need to visit, or how do I adjust the settings?
