MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
I've been getting Panic Report shutdowns for a couple of months now. Usually at night while the computer is asleep. I thought I got rid of all the old, incompatible software but apparently not. Now they are happening more frequently. These reports mean nothing to me, but if someone could take a look at this and advise, please. Thanks.

Good that the laptop appears to be working now. You should always keep all your software up to date.
I believe @John Galt was telling you to uninstall the Symantec software if it is not required by your school or employer. AV & cleaning apps are not needed on a Mac as they cause more problems than they solve plus they impact system performance. The only AV product any contributor on these forums will recommend is MalwareBytes, but even then only to clean up any adware or malware which might have been installed.
