Tip - Rice!!
My AirPods were left in my pocket and ended up, in the case, in the washing machine!
No surprise, they didn't work when retrieved.
Put them in a jar of rice for a week (with case), still didn't work.
Had choice to throw them out or leave in rice..... left in rice for another week and hey presto! Case and pods working just fine!
If yours get wet, don't give up hope!
