I got the Error Code -36 when trying to copy a video (mp4) from my Desktop to a USB Drive.
I am running the latest system as it was just updated last night.
Any idea how to move the mp4 successfully to a USB???

It's an Input/Output error. That hard drive is failing. You can try to erase and reformat, if that doesn't help it's time to replace it.
All hard drives fail, sooner or later, probably nothing you did. Go to Disk Utility and choose the uppermost, unindented icon representing the entire drive(you may have to click on "Edit" in the upper left) then Erase. If the drive doesn't work after that then it needs to be replaced. External hard drives are pretty cheap now.
