My MacBook Pro has almost entire space occupied by "Other Volume in Container. How do I resolve this problem?

How do I get rid of "Other Volume in Container?" It has taken up almost 220 GB of 250 GB. Kindly help!

In disk Utility as you are looking at the disk structure. On the one piece of media there is most likely one container. I assume you did make the disk APFS. If so far is true and you did create a volume then that volume is going to share the entire media. If you create a second volume within that container then the media is going to be shared. That's the nice thing about APFS , partitioning is no longer necessary.
