You will see this screen when the laptop's internal keyboard & trackpad are not functioning. You will need to take the laptop to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be serviced.

If this happens to be a MBPro 13" (early 2015) model, then insist they replace the Trackpad Cable if they cannot confirm any other hardware issue.

In the mean time you should be able to use a USB keyboard & mouse to use your laptop.

IIRC it is still a hardware issue. I recall seeing the same issue on one of our organization's laptops and I believe it was a hardware issue. I know it doesn't make any sense. You can try booting into Safe Mode to see if the issue still occurs.

The easiest way to confirm a hardware issue is by installing macOS to an external drive and Option Booting the USB drive to see if the same thing happens to a clean install of macOS. You can even install macOS to a USB stick if necessary, but it will operate very slow, however, that is Ok for testing the keyboard & trackpad after log in. This is probably a good idea since then you can tell Apple or the AASP it happens with a clean install of macOS. It is entirely possible that the tech will get the keyboard & trackpad working temporarily by reseating the cable or even the battery so be prepared to go back & forth with them.

It also never hurts to try an SMC reset and PRAM reset (hold the PRAM reset for at least three chimes so it activates several times). The SMC reset can only performed using the internal laptop keyboard.

Yes I try all things i can find on the web,... But the strangest thing happened yesterday when I was watching movie on my laptop, using usb mouse and cos of a habit i scroll on laptop trackpad and it works also the keyboard, i don’t know what happened but it works. Trackpad is showing in system preferences as well cos before it was not there.

Anyway i just hope it stays like this.

Again thanks for your help!

I'm having the same problem. :-(. I've been reading other questions about the same problem too. Unfortunately, the MacBook Pro early 2015 is not part of the recall list. I wonder if they have enough issues with it if they will add the early 2015 to the list?
I'm trying all I can to get it to work before my appointment with the genius desk at the Apple store.

It is a four year old model so it is very doubtful Apple will issue any free repair programs since most of their free repair programs only cover systems less than three or four years old. A safety issue would be the only exception.
