Access SMB network share with Files app? Solved

Here’s the stepsto access a. SMB drive in the Filesapp:

  1. In the upper left corner tap the three dots. ...
  2. In the popup tap: Server
  3. Enter the SMB address as : SMB://192.168.0.2
  4. Tap: Connect
  5. In the Connect to Server popup: a. Select - Guest or Registered User, b. Enter - UserID and Password, c. Tap: Next

The new connection appears in the Files Sidebar below Shared listed as the net i.p. address (192.168.0.2) having a up point triangle over a bar. The right screen o the Files app alsow the folder your access gives you.

If you tap the triangle-bar next to the i.p. address the connection is closed, but can be quickly restored by going through steps 1 & 2 and then just tapping the i.p. address.

All Files operations work as far as I know.

Happy SMBing!
