Daughter dropped the iPod touch and now looks like this:
I’m afraid it’s broken inside. The iPod’s equivalent of a graphic’s card has malfunctioned. You can try to give a good smack and see if that brings it back....that said such an action may very well totally kill it so do that at your own risk.
It’s time to take it to the pros and have them look at it. Your main option may be an out of warranty replacement or if you have apple care plus to use one of your accidental damage repairs to get a replacement.
