Screen issues on a brand new iPhone XR.

I got a new iPhone XR for Christmas. And just a few minutes ago I noticed these weird lines on my screen (can be seen in the photo). They occur when the brightness is high and there’s something light on the screen. I never dropped it and it can’t be water damage either because it had no contract with any liquids. Does anyone know what it is? And more importantly should I get the device/screen replaced?
