AirPods Pro : high-pitched whine / feedback / whistle when putting in ear

Each time I fit my Air Pods in my ear and press them in, I get a high pitched feedback that is very unpleasant like microphone feedback on a speaker system. It’s short lived to only when pressing them in. Seems others are having this issue (see closed discussion post and reddit thread below).

Thanks for adding on.

like the posters in the original thread; I’m finding the best way to get around this issue is make sure transparency / noise cancellation is off when fitting the earbuds, then turn it on once securely in ear. Not ideal but works for now.

Same issue here, very noticeable when on a recent flight. Just touching to adjust position or press sensor caused the high pitched whistle.
