Macos perfomance slowed down and doesn't feel smooth after upgrading to MacOs catalina

Hello,

Today i have upgraded to macos catalina and after upgrading my macos doesn't seem to as smooth as before and there seems to be some slight lag while transitioning between applications. this was not a problem when i was using mojave and my laptop is brand new, my company bought it 3 weeks ago.
