I have the impression that my device is under MDM but I can't see any profiles in Settings -> General. I think it's under MDM because I can install an application from my organization without using app store. (as far as I know normal devices can't install applications out of app store)
Is there any way to check if my device is under MDM? Is it possible that my device is under MDM an the profile/etc is hidden?

I said set it up as new, not restore from a backup.
If it's managed by an MDM, but not part of Apple's Device Enrollment Program, then restoring iOS and setting it up as new should get rid of it.
If it is managed by an MDM, you should normally see a management profile installed.
If you can install apps from outside of the App Store, it's either managed by an MDM or it's jailbroken.
Force the phone into recovery mode and restore iOS using iTunes, then set it up as a new device.
If your device is under MDM, the only help you can get is from the IT folks from your company. We can’t help and Apple can’t help.
What if I don't have access to the company anymore? There should be a way for me to prove my ownership and get rid of MDM.

Also if I do this and I restore a backup that was taken after getting into MDM, does restoring to this backup activate MDM again? And another question, does restoring to the backup restore all my settings and apps?
I understand but I want to know if it's possible/safe to restore a backup after the restore (a backup that was taken after the MDM enrollment) so that I can avoid putting too much time on re-installing my applications and setting up my iPhone like before.
Considering I can install applications out of app store and I'm sure my device is not jailbroken I assume my device is managed by MDM based on what you said. But I'm sure there's no management profile (nor any other kind of profile) visible in my settings.
I did a reset factory and since I didn't get any answer regarding safety of restoring a backup I didn't restore a backup and spent some time re-installing apps, etc. For anyone who comes to this thread in future I should add that the process was easy. Following this article https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201274 you don't even need to connect your iPhone to an iTunes. It can reset itself by itself.
It'd be great if I could verify that my device is not under MDM anymore. Until I don't find a way to verify this I'm still a bit upset about it, I'll be happy if I find an official way to verify it's not under MDM anymore.
One more point: the whole process is a bit over complicated, I shouldn't be able to enroll my device to an MDM this easily, there should be more warnings and confirmations and exiting MDM should have an easier way, after all it's my device, I can prove my ownership so it there should be an item in settings letting me quit MDM easily without contacting the IT department of the company, I don't understand why I had to factory reset my device.
