I have an Ipad Pro model number MLMX2J/A and I have a 2nd generation Apple Pen that is not working on this Ipad Pro. I was told by the salesman at Best Buy that it will work. the Ipad is not pairing with the ipad. Please Help?

if this is correct that model would use 1st generation pencil.

The salesman was mistaken. That model is compatible with the first generation Apple Pencil.
