Movie rental download on itunes

I rented and downloaded a movie from the iTunes Store on my MacBook Pro and started watching it. Then I decided to move it to my iPhone 7. My internet connection failed in the middle of that move and now I can’t access it from either device. Any suggestions?

“this video can’t be played because you dont have access” I get this message when trying to play movies rented from iTunes downloaded to my iPad I am signed in correctly to iPad sucks to download multiple movies for a long flight and none of them work !

Turned everything off and on again and it worked.
