By the way, I've had two HomePods for some time now, and had been playing the sound from Apple TV through one of them. It became clear though that my old (2nd generation) Apple TV was not able to deliver stereo sound, so I just last week purchased the Apple TV 4K, and love the result. Full stereo sound from any streaming TV that comes through Apple TV. If you can afford them, it's the way to go.
