Hello bjforrest,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! I see you have a question about whether your iPhone will need to relearn your daily charging habits since you've started using a wireless charger.
There is a great article about Optimized Battery Charging which states:
"Your iPhone uses on-device machine learning to understand your daily charging routine so that it can wait until you need to use your iPhone to finish charging past 80 percent.* Charging in this way reduces the wear on your battery and improves its lifespan. Optimized Battery Charging is active only when your iPhone predicts that it will be connected to a charger for a long period of time."
This information doesn't differentiate between wired or wireless charging. If your charging habits change, the machine learning will make adjustments as needed. You can read more in the complete article: About Optimized Battery Charging on your iPhone.
All the best!
