Battery drain on Apple Watch Series 5

This started happening recently. I charge the watch overnight, go to the gym for a one and a half hour workout and at the end of it the battery is at around 45%, then by 11 AM it is down to 33%. This did not happen before when I got the watch. I haven't changed anything other than regular app updates. I'm trying to figure out what app is causing the drain.

I wouldn't think that the workout tracking would cause such a huge difference since they didn't before.

Thanks

I tried the steps in the linked article, I logged out of iCloud on the MacBook, rebooted the machine, even restarted the Apple Watch but the battery drain continues. I ended up disabling Unlock with Apple Watch on the MacBook and that has stopped the battery drain for now.

Definitely something Apple should look into fixing. Just leaving the MacBook on and nearby without any other activity going on drains the Apple Watch battery much faster than normal in my experience.

Hey there

Up to 3 weeks or so ago my watch was able to go through the entire day on a single charge but that has changed and now It runs out of battery much faster. Nothing has changed in my habits, here is what I do:

  1. I leave the watch charging on the Apple charger overnight
  2. Go to the gym in the morning for a one and a half hour workout during which I record the workouts I do (two workouts)
  3. By the end of the workout battery is at around 45% which is much lower
  4. By mid day it goes down significantly
  5. By around 4 PM it is at 10%

I tried disabling Always On, and uninstalling any apps I'm not using. So far there is a better performance so far but what I wonder is what happened that made the battery life change so significantly.

Question: Is there a way to see who is consuming most battery life and why. I already shutdown and restarted the watch, I also made sure I am all up to date with the WatchOS updates and app updates. So this is not a problem with the watch being outdated.
