I have a new HomePod I got for Christmas. Going through the settings, I enabled the Sound When Using Siri option in Home app on my iPhone, but it doesn't seem to do anything, when I say Hey Siri, I dont get a tone, so the toggle doesn't seem to do anything at all.
Anyone know how to fix? often can't see the top of the unit so not sure if its heard me

I just tested again on my bedroom HomePod this time and it worked. All are on the same iOS. I suspect a reset could fix it but I’m not going to do a reset on mine.

Try unplugging it for a few seconds then plug back in. I think it makes a soft beep. I’m not using that feature to test.
if it heard you it responds. Occasionally it doesn’t so I just unplug it to fix it.
Have tried restarting a few times, still no joy. No beep or anything at all
I just tested it and you’re right it does nothing. Perhaps the latest update broke it?
i tried it once before and it worked.
Glad its not just me, was thinking of doing a reset, only set it up on Christmas so doubt it would do anything... but only thing I can think of
