imovie download failed

I want to purchase imovie for my macbook running OSX El Capitan. I have tried to download it a number of times but it keeps failing close to the end. The error message is that the download failed. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The download of current iMovie 10.1.14 requires Mojave 10.14.6 or Catalina. That's probably why the download failed. If you can upgrade to Mojave or Catalina you should be able to get the iMovie download.
